If you are leaving Pensacola Beach this week, plan for a slower exit. The inside northbound lane on Pensacola Beach Boulevard has been closed since March 23 and stays closed through Friday.
The closure runs 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily as contractors complete work on the new Pensacola Beach Boulevard toll plaza. Escambia County says the lane reopens Friday evening, April 10, weather permitting.
With Easter weekend traffic moving through a constrained exit all week, drivers leaving the beach during peak afternoon hours should expect delays at the merge point.
