Forty-seven roads across Escambia County are scheduled for resurfacing this year after commissioners approved an $8 million contract with Roads Inc. of NWF in February.

The total contract is $7,991,129. The commission advanced $2,048,705 in 2027 funds to 2026, prioritizing arterial and collector roads. That move pushed Chemstrand Road and Kingsfield Road up the list.

District breakdowns: District 1 gets $958,544. District 2 gets $828,441. District 3 gets $3,972,110. District 4 gets $372,133. District 5 gets $1,859,898.

District 3 roads include Chemstrand Road from 10 Mile Road to East Kingsfield Road and several north Escambia streets. District 5 includes W Street from North Airport Boulevard to Pensacola Boulevard and several streets in the Warrington area.

A timetable for individual roads has not been announced.
