After 24 years as separate restaurants on the same stretch of Pensacola Bay, Atlas Oyster House and The Fish House are now one.
Great Southern Restaurants completed the merger April 1, folding the Atlas Oyster House into an expanded Fish House complex. The combined property stretches over 300 feet of continuous bay frontage, one of the longest stretches of waterfront dining on Pensacola Bay.
Chefs Jason Hughes and John Huggins blended menus from both kitchens for a full brunch, lunch and dinner program. The Fish House's signature dishes continue alongside Atlas's oyster program. The Atlas Beverage Classes and Tuesday 75-cent Gulf Coast oyster nights carry forward.
Great Southern, which also operates Jackson's Steakhouse, Five Sisters Blues Cafe and Angelena's Ristorante Italiano, said the move was driven by demand that had outpaced capacity at both locations. The Fish House is at 600 S. Barracks St. Hours are Sunday through Thursday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
