Navy Federal Credit Union broke ground Wednesday on its third office building at the Beulah campus, adding 190,000 square feet of workspace with capacity for approximately 1,200 employees when fully staffed, a commitment that underscores the credit union's continued expansion in what has become its largest operational hub outside its Virginia headquarters.
\n\nExpected completion is the second quarter of 2028. The first Beulah building opened in 2016, the second in 2020, and the third building confirms that Navy Federal's growth trajectory in this market has not slowed. The credit union is the largest private employer in Escambia County, with approximately 11,000 employees across the campus as of early 2026.
\n\nThat employment base has reshaped development patterns across the entire western corridor over the past decade. Retail, housing and road infrastructure have all followed the campus's footprint. The Beulah area has become one of the fastest-growing residential submarkets in the Pensacola metro, driven substantially by the employment anchor Navy Federal provides, and the third building makes clear that anchor is getting heavier, not lighter.
\n\nWhen approximately 1,200 additional workers are fully onboarded by the end of the decade, the ripple effects will be measurable across the western school zones, along the Nine Mile Road commercial corridor and in the housing market for the 32526 and 32514 zip codes. Developers, school district planners and infrastructure engineers in that part of the county should be working from that assumption now rather than responding to it later.
\n\nNavy Federal has operated in the Pensacola market since the 1990s, but the Beulah campus investment, which accelerated significantly after 2014, represents the most sustained private-sector employment commitment the region has seen in a generation. Wednesday's groundbreaking confirmed it is not finished.
